EPIC Online Technology Meeting on Mid-IR Technologies for Industrial Manufacturing (in cooperation with MidIR Alliance)
Online Event

In cooperation with

Photonic developments on the Mid-IR region (2.5um-15um)  have demonstrated high impact on several  manufacturing industries, such as steel, glass, ceramic or cement, where process monitoring and quality controls involve measurements in temperature ranges from 300°C to 1500°C, very often in smoky and dusty conditions. Moreover precise and fast gas analysis plays an important role for detecting undesired vapours, pollutants, hazardous or flammable compounds, in particular for the chemical, refining, food and aerosol production industry. In this meeting we look forward to meet laser manufacturers and integrators of mid-IR lasers as well as the MWIR and LWIR camera manufacturers to discuss the last development and to discover new industrial applications.

Spirit of the meetings

During these online technology meetings, we are looking for the challenges the industry is facing and bringing together the entire supply chain to address these challenges. Bringing together end-users with component suppliers and system integrators that will answer the EPIC question “What can you do for them and what can they do for you” creates the perfect foundation to establish new business relationships and find ways for new collaborations and partnerships.

Speakers

With a Master degree in laser and engineering physics from Laval University, Quebec City, Louis-Rafaël co-founded Femtum to commercialize and develop the world’s first generation of short pulse mid-IR fiber lasers adapted for advanced material processing and fundamental research.
